Guitar Lessons Pro is an e-book based guitar tuition course which promises to teach you to play the guitar faster than any other method. There are a number of lesson books included in the package which take you from beginner to intermediate level and then expand your musical repertoire with some extra licks and riffs.
Guitar Lessons Pro is one of many courses which are sold from a badly made website using an over enthusiastic sales pitch making false promises that you will become a guitar expert in a matter of weeks. These can be identified by overuse of exclamation marks, dramatic statements in bold text and comments from supposed 'fans' of the course.
While you won't become a guitar expert from working through this course, you will pick up some useful techniques. The lessons are fairly simple to follow and come with sound clips embedded in the e-book so that you can hear what a particular riff should sound like. They aren't the best quality lessons we have seen, but do cover a lot of the stuff you need to know.
The course covers a variety of styles, but none is gone into in much depth. However, you do learn some basic music theory and how to apply scales over a chord progression to begin soloing. This lays a good foundation for learning most popular songs and being able to write your own.
For the money we would expect to see more content included in the package. While this course only offers e-books, other courses offer full video lessons at a lower price. Granted, these books are slightly better quality than some others you may find, but a few extra freebies wouldn't go amiss.
While Guitar Lessons Pro is at the higher end of over-enthusiastic guitar courses, it is still not as good as some books or courses you can get for the same or lower price. It will teach you most of the basics you need to know, but there are other methods that we think are more effective. However the course claims to offer a year long money back guarantee so, if you can get them to uphold their claim, you have nothing to lose by trying it.
